Location: Caldana is a district of the municipality of Gavorrano in the Province of Grosseto and belongs to the Maremma region, southern Tuscany in Italy. The town is located on a hilltop approximately 200 meters above sea level and is surrounded by forests and olive groves that extend to the sea. Amidst this picturesque setting, the village with its approximately 1000 inhabitants has preserved its medieval charm. The history of one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Maremma unfolds in the narrow alleys and among the remains of a castle that was already documented before the year 1000. Sights of interest include Palazzo Tosi and the town walls. In Caldana, people know each other, maintain traditions, and bring village community entertainment to life through folk festivals.
