This project consists of: Ground Floor on Rua de S. Cosme: Commerce - intended for the typical regional smoked meat industry (Regional Kitchen). Ground Floor on Travessa 5 de Outubro with access: 2 X Studio Apartments (T0) 1st Floor 3 X Studio Apartments (T0) 2nd Floor 3 X Studio Apartments (T0) Total of 1 Shop for commerce and industry and 8 X Studio Apartments (T0) Privileged location in the historic center of the city close to Parque do Império Garden and the Tua River, with its dam which constitutes one of the largest water basins rated as one of the best spots for jet-skiing, canoeing and paddling. It is well known the problem that young people face to be able to buy or rent a home. This fact deeply affects young people whether they are from the coastal regions, interior of Portugal and even worldwide. Unemployment among young people currently reaches very high levels, without financial and work stability. But in Portugal, in the age group from 16 to 24 years at European level we were in the 2nd place with the highest rate of risk of job loss and were only surpassed by Spain. We ended 2019 with a rate of 19.5% and the year 2020 ended with a rate of 24%, this is not just due to the pandemic. Female single-parent families in 2020 showed a value of 84.7% This project was not only conceived thinking about these needs, but also because smaller typology dwellings are fashionable and highly sought after for short-term accommodation purposes. This project in Mirandela makes perfect sense, given its geographic centrality, as it is the nucleus of the Transmontano Northeast, where visitors from here can explore this entire region, where nature prevails and places with stunning landscapes. Mirandela is the Gateway to the Natural Park of Vale do Tua which extends to the Douro region. When we speak of Douro we are thinking of the fabulous nectar of Port Wine so appreciated worldwide. But Mirandela is a world reference for alheira (traditional smoked sausage) which won the award as one of the 7 wonders of gastronomy.
